Happy New Year!!! It is now 2012- Let's make it a fun year of social events for the Geechees. I have met with Jan Vach and Suzy Hokanson who have volunteered to work with me on the Social Committee and we have started to put the calendar of events together. We have some new ideas, bringing back some ideas from the past and will also be continuing many of our traditional events that members have enjoyed over the years. If you have any ideas for events or would like to work on the committee with planning and/or implementing any of the activities please let me know. I am going to need a lot of help to pull this off!!

And so we here we go.... Let's Bowl in the New Year!!! Meet Me in the Alley!! Let's Party in the Fast Lane!

Bowling Party- January 28th at Savannah Lanes, 115 Tibet Avenue. 7:00-9:15 PM

$12 per person includes 2 hours of bowling, shoes, ball, pizza and unlimited soft drinks. Prizes too!! Since deposits and guaranteed number of players need to be given before the event please reserve your spot by giving me your check or cash at the meeting or mailing a check by January 20th (106 John Wesley Way, Savannah, 31404). Cancellations can be made by January 22.

Sweetheart Soiree- February 18th. 7Pm- 10PM. February is all about Valentine's Day, love, kisses and all that mush... any excuse to get together for a party!!!! . We will all bring a heavy hors d'oeuvre. The club will provide the beer and wine. There will be lots of socializing and a bit of silliness. Please bring a wedding picture of you and your spouse for a fun activity (these can be taken home after the party). Put your names on the back. We are looking for a venue for this event, either someone's home or perhaps a community clubhouse. It needs to be a place where we can bring our own food and drink. If at a house, the host would only have to provide the place and a table for food and a place for our cooler of beer and wine.

There will be a sign up sheet at the January meeting for both events.
